i hate the faces in redux, they look almost like comic figures and the eyes are really weird, also the first mutant that grabbed the dude from that mine cart, he looked so much cooler and scarier in the original. sure, redux looks less static with the moving foliage and snow storms and stuff and i really appreciate it, i still prefer the tone of the og 2033 though.

The two versions are basically the same with some dowgrades/upgrades, the only thing that can impact the experience on PS3 is the occasional frame dip and the fact that the loading times are significantly worse. To the point where you actually have to wait on environments to load before a lot of the doors and vents open. Beyond that, they actually went above and beyond with this port. A lot of next-gen ports toward the end of the PS3's life were essentially unplayable garbage publishers decided to release for full price anyway. Not really the case with this one.

I regretfully own the PS3 version and got the Platinum trophy for it in 2010. You can imagine my surprise when I played the Xbox 360 demo in 2013. The difference was VERY noticeable. I'm thinking of selling my PS3 copy and replacing it with a digital PC version, but I have a feeling I'm going to have a really hard time selling it even at a very low price in 2024.

The remaster is just the original but more boring looking.

thougj executed a bit poorly for bioshock, this is probably one of the better ways to remaster games, have better lightning, higher quality textures, and add more details but keep the same tone as the original game. bluepoint messed it up for demon's souls and it got a lot of backlash.

tbh when i heard the 1602 soundtrack after 1503 i thought u tried to show us how bad 1503 is compared to the OG 1701 was fine tho, but 1404 is my soulmate^^

The only thing i hate about 1503 is that you cant adjust taxes and the maps are always the same

There’s no way this guy can stand on the exact same spot on another console. Even more at 1:03, Ellie is also standing at the exact same spot in both the PS3 and PS4 versions. This guy has to be playing on ps4 but just changes the graphics settings.

The real question is, if it can run on switch, why it can't run on my gt 630m gpu..freaking poor pc port..

It still blows my mind that Sony put so many resources to developing the cell, just for it to be a flop and for a handheld made 10 years later can surpass the ps3 gaming capabilities.

This game feels very smooth on campaign on ps5 but on multi player it feels like 30 fps why

Not much difference coming from a Pc owner

Wow, it really is the same exact game, just slightly worse visually on the PS3. I picked up a ps3 last year because I never had one, and I wanted to replay the Metal Gear series. I’ve been on the fence about getting MGSV for PS3. I want to play it, but I don’t really have a reason to get a PS4 beyond Phantom Pain and Last Guardian. The only thing that sucks is that they’ve shut the servers down, and apparently some aspects of Phantom Pain rely on an online functionality that no longer exists. But others say the online aspect is optional stuff, and the game is perfectly playable without it. I might go for it anyway, because the game is cheap and I really don’t see myself spending the money on a whole other console just for one game.

Yeah that does it. Somehow I have both of them in my library. My first playthrough will be on the original. And then I'll play through it again on the remastered for achievements.
